SALT is a ministry team
of teenagers grades 7-12. This choir ministers through with the gift
of music to each other, to the church body, and around the country.
SALT, along with many others from 412 Student Ministries, recently
returned from Virginia Beach, Virginia where they spent the week
helping
the Cornerstone Bible Church get their name out among the 200,000
people that lives within a 3 mile radius of their church. We
ministered through singing at several nursing homes as well as at
Cornerstone Church. SALT has traveled to other places on our
bi-annual mission tour such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Oklahoma City,
Anchorage, and Chicago. They have participated in teaching Back Yard
Bible Clubs, sports camps, and Vacation Bible Schools. They have
served in inner-city soup kitchens,
homeless
shelters, VA hospitals, children’s hospitals, detention centers, and
a host of other places.
But SALT is much more than music. Besides ministry in the community,
we support each other, learn about becoming servants and
disciples, laugh and
cry together, and yes, we do make some great music. But if you’re
not a singer, don’t let that stop you. Plenty of teens got their
first music lessons in youth choir. Not a member of Campbellsville
Baptist? No worry! SALT is open to anyone in grades 7-12, regardless
of the church they attend. SALT: more than just music – it’s
creating a soundtrack for life.
