From the Senior Pastor

I’m writing these words just a few days after our 225 Anniversary Celebration, and I haven’t quite come down from the clouds. It was a great day, and all of us thank the Lord for how He answered our prayers. I appreciate two groups especially: the Historical Committee and the Social Committee. We had many people serving that day, but these two groups and their tireless efforts made sure that all the details were taken care of. Because of them, we could be blessed with a day to remember, give thanks, and spend time together. I am especially thankful for:

  • A great day of worship. We had the whole church family together and the Worship Center was packed. We had our choir, orchestra, youth, and children all leading us to praise God. I won’t soon forget how we all felt the Holy Spirit’s presence in a special way. And didn’t James Jones preach an anointed message!
  • A great day of fellowship. The meal in the gym was something else! The food was plentiful and it was good simply seeing us all relax and enjoy each other’s company. We had a number of people travel in from out of town, and it made the day feel like a “homecoming.”
  • A great future. The keys to a healthy church are the vital connections to Christ and to each other. We experienced them both last Sunday. The future is bright for Campbellsville Baptist! Let’s keep serving, inviting, and reaching out to others, for His glory.

See you Sunday!
Pastor Mike

October 16: The Question

October 23: The Alternatives

October 30: A Question of Time

November 6: Wisdom for the Asking

If you are like most people you ask many questions before you start something or make a decision. However, many times we start with the wrong question. Over these four Sunday nights we will gather in homes to look at Ask It presented by Andy Stanley, Senior Pastor of the campuses of North Point Ministries in the Atlanta, GA area. While in this informal setting, Andy Stanley will open our eyes to some incredible truths about fool proofing our lives as he identifies the one question that makes it easy to determine the answer to all other questions. You will learn how to make decisions with confidence simply by applying THE question that brings clarity to life’s most challenging decisions.

CUBA 2017

The believers in Cuba have had a difficult half century under communist rule.  It’s not over, either, but they are a people of hope and faith.  In fact, the church has thrived even under the heavy hand of the government.  What an opportunity to minister as we travel to San Juan de los Yeras in the Cienfuego district of Cuba from June 23-June 30, 2017.  Is there a tug in your heart to explore sharing the Gospel with this people group?  Join us October 9 at 5:00PM in the Fireside Room for an informational meeting.  We have 10 spots available for this trip. Eats & Treats - October 31

We have some very exciting events coming our way! One of those is our Eats & Treats Halloween Event. This is a time for our church to serve the community on October 31. We are asking for volunteers to help out in several different areas. We need people to pass out bagged meals, help register people for prizes, decorate your trunk and pass out candy, donating candy, etc. We are excited for this major event and hope that you will be in prayer about it and will volunteer in the way the Lord leads your heart.

Please contact me for more information!
