Wednesday in Ireland, what a great day! A
little rainy start, but hey, this is Ireland We ate breakfast
at 9:00 again and gathered in the learning block to hear teaching
from John Moxen. He does an amazing job, and I have heard several
students comment on how they enjoy this time. He relates to the
students well and really makes the scriptures relevant to their
lives.
We have one VBS in the morning. Our junior and
seniors are the leaders for this one. It is in a caravan park
(camper park). The children are always excited to see our group
arrive.
After lunch we headed to Downpatrick for our
VBS’s. During the trip into Downpatrick it continued to rain, but
as we arrived the rain cleared and we had great weather during our
VBS times. Our students are beginning to learn the names of the
children, and the children are learning who we are, so relationships
are being built. We are down to 3 VBS locations in Downpatrick and
they are all having good attendance.
Back to Murlough House to tea, then after tea
we went to our sessions for teenagers. Our earlier sessions are
mostly for elementary school children, and our evening sessions are
for teenagers. These sessions go until around 9:00, then we go back
to Murlough House for worship and reflections about the day.
