WorshipPeople were created to worship. Something inside us cries out for someone (or something) bigger than ourselves. Our souls, that eternal part of us, seeks fellowship and intimacy with our creator. If that fellowship is not satisfied through a relationship with the living God, we will seek to worship something else; pleasure, riches, fame, success, notoriety. For the believer, the corporate worship of God is a highlight to the week. To come together as a body of believers and worship is an experience that sustains and uplifts throughout the whole week. Indeed, people were made to worship. Style of worship is receiving a lot of attention these days. Contemporary? Traditional? Blended? Convergent? Liturgical? While Campbellsville Baptist Church has recently made a transition in worship style to meet the needs of a modern and upcoming generation, we are more concerned that people entering the sanctuary encounter God in a life-changing way. We seek to experience worship that exalts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That may mean with an orchestra or a praise band; we may utilize a robed choir or a praise team; worshipers may sing ancient Psalms of praise or contemporary songs of exaltation. Our main purpose is to worship God. Our invitation is that you join us at either 8:30 or 11:00 for worship, and that together, we worship and exalt the living God.
