Our Staff

Campbellsville Baptist Church is blessed with a talented, dedicated staff called to the full time ministry.

Skip Alexander - Pastor

Skip Alexander began as pastor of Campbellsville Baptist Church in August of 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown College, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University. A visionary pastor committed to growing a church through hands-on ministry Skip brings messages that speak to the heart and challenges the hearer to Christian action. Skip enjoys other areas of ministry outside of pastoring to include revival and conference speaking for both pastors and marriage enrichment. “These events are rewarding and a welcome challenge, but it is the weekly joyful obligation to serve as a pastor and preacher that fills my heart,” say Skip. The only greater love than his calling as a pastor is his family. Skip is married to the former Leigh Anne Winters and they have two lovely daughters, Meredith and Caroline.

David Johnson - Music Minister

David Johnson accepted the call into full time Christian service in 1984 and holds a Master of Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Joining the ministry team as Minister of Music in July 1997, David has been instrumental in the creation of our contemporary worship service and the development of the Praise Team Ministry. Working with the youth choir “Salt,” he enjoys taking the youth on mission trips and encouraging them to experience the movement of God in unique and powerful ways. David has been significant in the production of our Easter Pageant “The Living Promise.” He believes the Christian walk is summed up in one word – “Journey.” His goal is to use the means of music and the arts to assist other pilgrims in their own path. When David is not serving our church he enjoys time alone hiking or canoeing. David has been married to his high school sweetheart Pam, since 1978 and they have three wonderful daughters, a feisty Shetland sheepdog and precious Highland Terrier.
