Prayer Walking Team - 2005
Preparing the Way...

Again led by Larry Rowell, and this time including his wife
Edwina, this year our church sent a team to walk among the Fulani
and pray for God to work among them. Larry, Edwina, Kym Stein,
Angela Marcum and Ramona Hieneman, walked and prayed for God to
bless the Fulani people.
Continue to pray with our team for the Fulani, so God will
continue preparing the way for more trips to this area. May
the Fulani in Burkina Faso come to a saving knowledge of our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Pray:
 |
That God would reveal himself
to the Fulani and lift the darkness/deception to which they
are presently subject. |
 |
That God reveal His goodness
to the Fulani people. |
 |
For God to destroy the works
of Satan in Fulani lives. |
 |
For God to reveal their true
spiritual condition, and need for salvation. |
 |
That God would draw the Fulani
irresistibly to Himself. |
 |
For the Fulani to become
convicted of sin, that they will see God's righteous
standard, and they will understand the judgment to come. |
 |
That God will reveal Jesus as
the only savior. |
 |
That God's kingdom will come
to the Fulani people as it is in Heaven, and that His will
be done. |
"Our
purpose was to prayer walk through portions of Burkina Faso,
including Fulani tribal areas. We partnered with members of
Kongoussi Baptist Church, a church formerly planted by Larry Rowell.
Kongoussi is located approximately 60 kilometers from Ouagadougou,
the capital of Burkina Faso. We walked through five villages
surrounding Kongoussi.
Sunday morning we worshiped with the small congregation that
gathered for church in Kongoussi. The children sat dazed and
attentive for 3 hours! Everyone on the team gave their
testimony and the women sang two songs.
In Ouagadougou we visited an orphanage, praying for the work there.
We also prayed walking through the neighborhood surrounding our
guesthouse and at the International School of Ouagadougou where many
different nationalities are taught.

As we ended our pray walking sessions with the Kongoussi church, the
pastor made the statement he understood now it did not take money or
films or paper to evangelize the lost. It just took the time to walk
and build relationships, praying for those who do not know Christ."
